When I bought the 750SS, it came with a brand new Continental Road
Attack on the back and a marginaly legal Pirelli of some description on
    the front.

Taking the easiest option, I'm going to book a fitting at National Tyres
    this week.

However, I'm unsure as to what to put on the front.

I've run with the BT010 / 020 combination in the past on my TRX and VFR,
so I was wondering if I should try the Sport Attack on the front in
preference to the technically matching Road Attack.

    What say the font?

    Christ you're a fuckwit.

Any tyre fitter can fit a tyre to a loose wheel - it's no different to
fitting a tyre to and balancing a car wheel.

I'm also pretty sure I don't actually want my fitter to recommend a tyre
to me - there are only 2 choices - a matching Road Attack or a stickier
Sport Attack - if I want uniformity with my brand new rear.

As an aside: Wessie, do you know if the guy who runs MGs is fit and
    working again?

Especially as you have Mike at Cardiff Motorrad just down the road. He
fitted a pair or Road Attacks to my R-GS for £158 last month.

No idea. See my other post for my current preferred fitter. His price is
very competitive. So much so that Thunderroad phoned him up and asked how
the **** he could make a profit on tyres at that price!

  6. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Barney typed
You might want to consider using someone who knows what he's doing then.

Hmmmm, I generally avoid Cardiff in the same way that I avoid London....

There's a place in Pontypridd that does bike tyres, I'll give 'em a bell
    in the morning.

If you didn't live in the benighted depths of Welsh Wales, you could use
    Protyre.

His dad has a workshop next door. He specialises in old Mercs, Jags,

Now get your fucking arse down there as I want this guy to stay in
    business.

You're picking Ponty over Cardiff? Things must have changed. Where in
    Ponty?

    Ponty is still a shithole.

It's just that it's a closer shithole than Cardiff.

Ystrad Mynach. Halfway between Caerphilly and Blackwood.

    Ponty is 10 mins away.

Pissing down all week. And I'm on holiday this week, too.

Mind you, it got me motivated to sort out my garage. Just the 5 car
loads of crap to the tip.

And yes, it's very green. Although they've built a new estate next to
Parc Penallta. Shame they didn't rip down the derelict mine buildings -
I certainly can't see why people have paid up to £300k to live in a
    shoebox next to a pit.

    It was always the way.
I have one thing to go, boy child opened old fridge door and it came
off in his hand. I haven't yet rung the tip to see what they do about
    fridges.
That I miss. Garages, graveyards and green.

My local council want £13 to collect a dead freezer. If you are buying a
new one it can be cheaper to get the retailer to collect the old one as
    part of the delivery.

Fitting motorcycles tyres is a piece of piss.
What nonsense. For a couple of seasons I fitted all my racing tyres,
and using a machine I could do them easily in 10~15 minutes, and I'm a
    rank amateur.

And what the hell has riding style got to do with how a tyre is
    fitted?
