FOAK: Windows Help

Anything in the Event Viewer? (right click on My Computer, choose
Manage, hopefully that should come up because it is a MMC snapin rather
than an explorer thing)

 

My Computer brings up an Explorer Pane ....which is blank.

 

Heh. Seriously, it would have taken you much less time to reinstall it
at this point.

Try Windows-R, type in eventvwr.exe.

 

Youd did *right click* it, yes?

Ok, Event Viewer is up. What am I looking for?

 

Look in System log first.

You want to see if there are any relevant errors (ie the red ones) since
you last rebooted.

You can go to http://www.eventid.net/ to look them up, or post them
here, or do Google searches.

Hopefully there is something which will point towards what the problem
has been caused by.

It's a bit of a black art.

Archie had changed the font colour to the same as the background
