Is full of very unattractive fat women. It's no small wonder that the
only ukrm poster from there is gay.

Hey if you had just spent 4.5 hours clinging to the underside of a freight
train you would probably quite like a bit of unattractive fat too.

All of the most beautiful and lovely young women in Folkestone work
with me, so I can't have them walking the streets.

It is a government ploy, all ugly fat women are sent to Folkstone to
try and dissuade would be immigrants. They are going to do the same
with Dover if it is successful.

I think they got the idea from looking at the welsh.

    Good ol' Dover, eh?
I know some nice Welsh people.
Hello, Zan. My name's Nick and your fairy Godmother. I've got some
advice for you relating to posting to the puddle of joy that is UKRM:

When you reply to the post do as I have done above. Leave the
attributes in (That's the bit at the top that looks like "On 11 Aug
so-and-so said..." and chop out all of the bits that you don't need to
reply to and leave the paragraph(s) in that you are replying to. Type
your reply just below the paragraph as I have just done.

I know it seems picky but please just do it that way. UKRM loves you
and everything about you but you just need to get used to a few ground
rules of what posts should look like. It's not just this group that
expects posts this way, it's most of usenet.

I don't use Google Groups to post to uk.rec.motorcycles so I'm not
sure how easy it is to reply as I have done today, but it shouldn't be
    too difficult.

Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) be it Tiscali, BTInternet, etc.
will probably have a news (usenet) server that you can get a client (A
program like Forté Agent or Xnews) to connect to which will make
posting, sorting and storing your messages easier.

Basically: Drop me an email at if you have any
questions, but if you continue to post without quoting or attributing
your posts then you're going to really upset Bear and I'm sure his
blood pressure is high enough as it is. And even if you don't annoy
Bear it makes it difficult for the rest of us to work out what you're
    on about.

    Take care.

What an image. I'm just glad I've not met you so I can't put a face on
    it.
It's a bit of a pain, to be sure. You first need to click on 'show
options' at the top of the post, before hitting 'reply'. Just hitting
the reply button at the bottom of the post doesn't quote anything.

Ermmm, sorry guys. Ermmm, I am using google groups and just clicking
reply? It doesn't copy the text so without re-writing it I don't know
what to do. I guess I could cut and paste it all down for you?

My ISP is prodigynet and they have no mail or newsgroup settings on
their website. I e-mailed them last week (As i want to check my
newsgroups using outlook) but no reply.

Ermm, I am startiing to think this e-mail should be in
    alt.computers.newbiemuppet.org

    Thx

    Possible/probable. My bro's hosting a party for my mum's 70th in
Ashbourne, which I'll probably be attending, so I'll pop in at some
    stage if I'm there.

Although there was some talk of picking up somebody's GTS1000 and
    riding that up...

And before everyone jumps on you again, if you are going to be using a
sig (like I have at the bottom of every post) remember to start it off
with a dash another dash a space and then a carriage return. Must
    have a space.

if you are going to be using a sig

Ermm, it looks like a load of jumbling letters to me. I doubt I shall
be using them... Err, Zan is OK I take it, or do I have to put:

    -- Zan

    Thx for the advice

    Zan

    or

    -- Zan

Naa. Leave the name blank if you can, we can see it in the FROM:
field anyway. If you're going to have your name at the bottom of
every post then it needs to be dash dash space return name:

    --
    Nick.

....for example, that way when someone uses a proper news client and
they hit their reply button it'll automatically snip out everying from
the "-- [return]" onwards. Bears sig is the perfect example.
