Follow Up: Hole in crankcase of Shadow repaired

    Thanks again to everyone who responded to the previous thread. I
    ended up roughing up the area, cleaning it thoroughly with brake
    cleaner, and patching with JB Weld. Worked like a champ! I've put
    several hundred miles on since then and it hasn't leaked a single drop
    of oil.

    That stuff can work wonders for years with the proper surface prep. Hope it
    holds forever. :)
