Following on from GPS - PDA?

Having weighed up the pros and cons, I'm thinking I'll go the PDA route.
I've been looking around and, so far, this page has my favourite. The one
    on the extreme left.

    Anyone any opinions?
I need bluetooth as an absolute minimum, but wifi is well up the list too,
as I can use it on my wifi setup.
Expansion slot is a must, to store GPS maps. Would prefer windows based,
cos I'm not sure about palmos, really.
My budget is £215, as per the Axim, delivered.

    Any relevant thoughts/advice?

Go the other way and get a dedicated unit. Bought the Navman iCN 510
for t'other half recently and can't recommend it highly enough. Small
enough to fit in a pocket, c/w full europe maps and allows selective
download from windows, plus it uses a standard SD memory card so you
can swap maps at will. A car mounting set comes as standard too. Most
importantly of all, the interface, using touch screen, is as easy as
they come and has a nice clear display and built-in voice
    instructions.

I really don't understand why anyone would go for a PDA/bluetooth
solution, unless it's actually the challenge of getting it all set up
that rocks your boat. Me, I'm much happier with the "works straight
    out of the box" solution.

I have an X5 and setting it up was a piece of pi$$. Plus I get a full
games machine, MP3player(card or streaming over wifi), eBook reader, PIM
    all for the same money

    The GPS kit is excellent(TT3)

Wait until it seizes. The RD200 was a far better piece of machinery.

Just like bikes, the journey can be as important as the destination.

I suppose if you want all that gubbins too then fairy nuff. Me, I just
    wanted a SatNav system.

We both have work-supplied palms anyway and Jude's work phone plays
MP3s too, although to my knowledge she's never used it to do so.
