A few years ago, for a lark I decided to see just how far I could go
in 24 hours. I rode from San Diego, California to a gas station ~30
miles past El Paso, Texas (that bizarrely enough, but probably pretty
typical for Texas, kept tigers as pets,) back to San Diego, and up to
Oceanside, for a total of 1640 miles. I then rode back to San Diego in
the next hour. It's pretty hard to do that at less than 35mph,
exploded head or not. What nearly destroyed my head was the terminal
boredom of the trip, as it was almost entirely one straight line,
there and back. Like most of you, I find autoroutes/bahns/pistes to be
mind-numbing and anathema to fun motorcycling. But on the fun one-lane
roads I rode in Galicia and Asturias, if you think you can average
much over 35, you're either a suicidal maniac or BSing. I'm certainly
not be the fastest guy on the road, but there weren't many bikes
    passing me.

Largest population of Tigers in the world, Texas.

It was on QI so it must be true.

  3. Try Corsica. ISTR averaging something like 25mph on some roads.

Oh yeah. I spent a week there and some days I don't think I ever got
    into 3rd gear.

Don't buy Prexport. Mine are bollocks.

The sole has come away on mine at the front, so whilst the boot is
fine (and covered for the most part by my waterproofs), it leaks like
    a sieve at the toe.

    Crap.
