Just drinking some Percol Decaff Fairtrade Colombia from my Espresso machine.
It bears a very strong resemblance to coffee.

Has anyone seen the instant version in any shops recently?
I finally found an instant decaff that I like so it disappears from the shelves.

  5. Indeed. Olives are best put straight into the compost heap for biomass.
Garlic has its place (ie anywhere where you can't actually taste is as
a dominant flavour - like a good curry[1] or Chinese dish).

[1] Just got the Rick Stein Far-East tour cookbook - some very nice
recipes. I drew the line at the one which has crispy-fried garlic
    slices as a major constituent..

You are an outwardly intelligent man, whose views I often enjoy reading.
It comes as a surprise when you come out with such claptrap. Are you
    trolling? ;_
    Good lord, *why*? Sounds lovely.

    Indeed.

Ever been to the Isle Of Wight garlic festival?
    Garlic icecream, yum.
The garlic beer seems to be a mediocre lager with bits of garlic in it
though. This does seem to be an improvement over drinking just the
    lager.

quite right, there's little that's not improved by either garlic or

A pint of decent beer would seem to be in order there. You could even
add the garlic you've strained from the lager to it. Couldn't hurt.

  19. It does to me TAAW. Fried garlic slices are lovely scattered on top of
    grilled meat.
I have; must be twelve years ago now. Good fun, and plenty of garlicky
edibles; I especially liked the O'Hagan's sausages.
    Surprisingly non-unpleasant, I found.
It was Skol when I went there. I tried it out of curiosity, but was
unimpressed - a waste of good garlic, I gooved.
Most edible additives would improve such beverages, I'd say.
