Tom Tom has one for free - check their site

This seemed blinkin cheap - Garmin for £ 125
    http://www.savastore.com/productinf...e=Savastore&product_id=10289519&pid=2&tid=600

Anyone know if they are any good and how their software compares to Tom Tom?

No, it subscription.. and PocketGPSworld has a cheaper, more frequently
    updated version.

But in France it's *FREE* 'cause they're like that.

They're good. The software isn't quite as powerful as TomTom for
    re-routing.

However, as a basic get you where you want to be SatNav that allows you
to specify the kinds of roads you want to avoid, they're great.

Nice an small, so you can hide 'em away easily, too.

I got the Garmin one with free lifetime TrafficMaster subscription[1].
Coming back from Manchester to Bristol last month, a little red triangle
popped up in the corner of the screen, indicating that there was a problem
on my route. Tap screen: "Accident M6, Jxx. 6 miles stationary traffic.
Congestion M5, J7." Then the bit that makes it worth the money, "Re-Route?".
    Yes please!

There then followed a very pleasant bimble down many A-roads, getting me
back home without a hitch. Lovely :)

    [1] Nuvi 310D, it rocks.
