    Ooops

Sorry to Steve A. and others who helped with suggestions to cure the misty
    specs/visor problem.

Washing up liquid's been working a treat.

    Thanks again, one and all

Do you put the washing up liquid on both sides of the specs? How much
do you put on and do you put it on and polish it all off?

I've got a Shoei with a not-possible-to-fog-up visor on it, but my
specs still fog up if I'm not careful.

A single drop on both sides, a good old wipe around with a lint free cloth, and
    polish till clear.
A drop of Fairy Liquid has worked wonders [1]

Far too much. A single drop would be enough for a square yard of glass.

Less is much easier to polish.

Ah, me drops are more drips IYSWIM. Learnt that one by trial and error. Finally
got fed up of running the specs under the hot tap and watching the pretty little
    bubbles.

To clarify, Nigel, may your drop be more of a drip and all will be fine.

Ta for the clarification prod, Steve.
