    To start-up a formula 1 car:

    1. Pump hot water around the engine
    2. Feed hot oil into the engine
    3. Start the engine by an external starting motor.

It would be no good as a road car, is the same for GP500 bikes?

Fast Bikes ran an article 15 years or so ago where they took Sean
Emmett's Harris YZR500 out on the road.

It sounded quite practical compared to half the shit in my garage, tbh.

  3. I preferred it when PB rode a Le Mans bike off the finishing grid, and
back to Blighty, dodging irate French coppers on the way.

For one good reason, the 500GP class no longer exists.
