Some time ago I found a website that would allow you to check a bikes frame
number free, for any dodgy history, I used it on my mates old blade
trackbike and is showed clear. Anyway I have bought an old DR-Z400 and want
to return it to the road, but it came with no paperwork or reg plate.
Does anyone know the site I'm on about, my google mojo seems to have fucked
    right off.

  2. I've never heard of any free sites. If you bought a dirt bike with no
papers and no plate, the chances are very high that it's hooky. Take the
VIN number to your local Plod and they'll do a look-up, i think.

I'm sure I used such a thing previously and it was an official site either
the DVLA or the insurers database, cant find anything now though.

Plod might be the next best plan.

Do tell us if they take the opportunity to measure you for a set of
    bracelets .. ;)
