France Sept 2011

So, has a date been set for the Pyrenees trip?

I have a weekend with friends in Normandy at
http://www.chateaulemontepinguet.co.uk/home.htm beginning Fri 9th Sept
2011.

I'm thinking about a few days in France before then - leave some time after
the BH Monday, maybe 31st Aug or 1st Sept. Does this fit in with the
Pyrenees lot or anyone else fancying a trip?

I'm looking at western channel crossings as the Chateau is only 15km from
Cherbourg and there is a fastcraft to Poole at a nice time i.e. 11.30am
departure on Mon 12th Sept.

There's not a lot of price difference between LDLines & Brittany Ferries
for daytime crossings. LDLines have an overnighter from Portsmouth to Le
Havre which is attractive.

I'm pretty flexible with destination but thought a trip not dissimilar to
what Champ & Krusty did would fit the bill, assuming Ace is about & in a
position to receive guests. Only a bit warmer. Then onto Jen's B&B. Then a
possible dip into the Pyrenees. Follow the nice weather wherever possible.

No tents.

and I deny typing 'A trip to the Dijon area is being suggested by
the "went to the Ardennes last year" group. I'm trying to manipulate that
so it matches up with Krusty's proposed dates.'

Fuerteventura for a couple of weeks windsurfing instead.

Shoulder's on the mend now, having physio for it and the back twice a
week. Picked up a (slightly) torn meniscus[1] at home a few weeks ago
though, which has kept me off skis for the last two weekends. I think
it's stabilising now though, so I'll probably wait toill summer to get
it fixed.

[1] Although my GP thought it just a pulled ligament, so it may be
that.
