  1. We just did some more cleaning at the house before demolition and have
found the following that could be of use to someone.

R1150R towbar by Classic Industries, complete with all mounting bits
smoke damaged, dirty and rusty bolts from water damage, but no fire
damage. No I don't know if it will fit anything else and have no wish
    to discuss the possibility.

K100 back wheel with Pirelli Match tyre, almost no wear but at least 8
    years old (suit K100, K100RS, K100RT/LT, K75s)

    K100RS (16v) back(18") and front(17") wheels, front tyre a little
burnt, brake disks good with surface rust from water damage (the
bobbins are tight, disk doesn't rattle), rear tyre good but 8 years
old. Will fit K100RS 16v, K1100RS, K1100LT of you want to put
    sportier tyres on.

All items free and all PICKUP only from Western Syd/Blue Mountains, I
just want rid of them and have no space to store them while we
    rebuild.

There's also a most of a very well worn K100 sitting there that will
probably end up in the dumpster. Only done 400,000kms or so and most
of that pulling a sidecar, has a good gearbox in it. Spare K100
engine sitting around and a spare K100 frame with some scorching also.

  4. Yep, all OK, just one cat missing. The top floor of the house burnt
on 27/12, there wasnt much house downstairs, just garage and library.
All the bikes survived though two with some damage. front of the car
melted, caravn had some of the house fall on it. It's all just time
    now.

I never ever wanted to build a house, now i have little choice.

Sorry to hear that, Al. How come you waited so long to mention it?

  7. Just trying to find a home for some excess gear before the knockdown
is all. I thought there might be someone that could use the K
    leftovers.
I do still read whats going on here, but dont post much lately cause
there seems to be too much bitching and carrying on from some quarters
and I really don't like getting involved in arguments.

I know of a good home but transporting the stuff is problematic , how
    much time is there ?

If you really want the carcasses I have storage space in the sheds at
    Funkytown.

They're unlikely to be stolen (at least, the thieves have ignored my
    GPZ900R parts bike so far).

I'm sure Al would've scheduled the devastation for another day if he'd been
    aware!

Naah; I doubt even teetotal Al would insist on water-only 4 months after the
    burning|.
    White-rum and grapefruit-juice is the drink de-jour.

Unlucky in many respects but at least you suffered no family loss and
you get a place within the confines of the payout that you have hands on
    and design and decorating input

Just remember to add data and tv and phone points back to under the
stairs while the rebuild goes on and before the gyprock
