Free to a good home.

Just been to the dealers where my wrecked bike's been sitting, to
rescue a couple of bits and bobs before the insco takes possession,
and have therefore a few items surplus to requirements:

Specifically, I have a black baglux tank cover for a gsxr1000 k3/4,
together with expandable bag to fit it. There's also (in my garage the
whole time) the original pillion seat, the plastic hump having been
smashed in the prang. Oh, and I also liberated the toolkit, if
anyone's in dire need of a full OE item, although I think I'll find a
use for most of its contents. And the owners manual, although it's
been wet so may not be usable.

So if anyone wants it, I can send it for postage charges or, if you're
not in a hurry, possibly the u/g railway, but that's depenant on Adie
coming over and being prepared to carry it back.

I've no use for the cover, but could definitely put the bag to some use,
as I was planning to buy one.

 

I could really use the black Baglux tank bag... preetty please?

If it's just the clasp that's broken, you should be able to get a
replacement. You'll certainly be able to get one from Bagster, if you
can't find one anywhere else.

They sold me a separate piece for mine, the part that attached the two
clasps to the bag.

 

I'm not sure I see where the problem is.

Where exactly is it broken? The metal bit should be easily replaceable,
if you can get a new one. It'll just crimp on to the flap of material.

 

Anyone expecting Adie to carry it should understand that the tankbag
will be 'lost in transit'. The rest would probably make the journey
safely.

 

Heh. Well, I can't much argue with that, can I?

Be a shame if there's no-one actually needs the tank cover too...

Being a one-time car-trimmer I have the special tool to fit those[1] -
done them in the past too.

You know, you can really surprise people, sometimes.

Do so. Not sure how much they'll charge you for it, mind; but it's a
reasonably generic item, so hopefully they won't rip you off too much.

 

Can you hang on to it for me, if it's not already snaffled. I espy a
bike change soon.
