Cunts. I'd have to take two days off to do that and I'm going to be
stuck at Dungeness right when it hits 'critical path' time.

I haven't done a trackday for ages and I really should do one again
before I forget what it's all about.

Oulton is the best track I've been to as well. It's just a
shame that it's so bloody far away otherwise I'd have booked
    myself onto it.

I've got Metzelers fitted at the mo, and a spare set of RS1 and RS2
Rennsports ready to go one. Aside from that there's shitloads of work
needs doing to the CBR as well.

So does my thou - Corsa 3s. But as soon as I get back from Chimay
they're coming off, probably in favour of some Pilot Road 2s. I'm really
not convinced uber-sticky tyres are necessary, even on a litrebike.

Yes, the 1100S in black. This has the original Pirelli
Corsa IIIs on as they come as standard and it's only
    a year old.

    I've also got a Yr2000 748S that has Bridgestone BT010s
on it. Or maybe they are the newer versions, whatever
they were called. Can't remember, tbh!

The other one is the 600SS race bike which has a 620ie
engine in it and lots of other mods. The only original
600SS parts are now the frame, yokes and fuel tank. This
has Pirelli Diablos on it as they are the control tyre
for the DSC's DesmoDue race series that I've raced in
    for the last 4 years.

Perhaps you need to spend some time analysing how much effort you're
putting into getting that bike from A to B as fast as possible because
if you don't think sticky tyres are worthwhile you're just not trying
    hard enough.

I dgaf what tyres are on the XT but I want something decent on the 10R
because on sticky tyres riding it hard will have me noticing the
feedback in corners and I'll know when to reign it in a bit. You don't
get that on cheaper tyres and it only needs one high side to destroy
the bike so the saving isn't worth a shit.

I rarely try to get that bike from A to B as fast as possible. I tend to
    stick to 'fast enough'.

Cheaper? FWR have both Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Road 2 at £219 quid a
pair. Price isn't an issue, it's the mileage.

The 2CTs I had lasted about 1500 miles. I had these Corsa 3s fitted
before the French run and they'll be knackered by the time I get back
from Chimay, so that's about 2000 miles with some cross-town commuting
    thrown in.

On that basis, if I put some new ones on for the Alps trip they'll be
squared off by the time we get to Austria and completey fucked before we
even set off home. Hence my thinking that Road 2s may be a better bet.
We're not exactly talking about trackdays here.

You lying shit bag. It's not that long since you were sweating on a
summons after a certain high speed blast.
If they're the same price then surely the additional grip is worth
    having?
I'll be having new tyres fitted before setting off for the Alps but
don't expect to be riding on canvas by the time we return and that's
allowing for the fact that we will be talking trackday style riding at
    several points on the trip.

And that was only averaging around 110mph which, on a 180mph bike, is
definitely more "fast enough" than "as fast as possible". Officer.
