Probably a fire in the throat that urgently needed to be put out.

I don't think I've ever been pissed (on a daytime crossing) going to
France on a TOG trip. Coming home I often decide not to have a beer on
the boat because it'd be likely to tip me over the edge after the
    Saturday night beer intake.

It'll be a difficult decision when I have to choose what to take. If
there are at least a few going who'll make the Saturday ride worth
taking the 10R for then it'll go otherwise it's the shite old beemer
for its luggage carrying ability and the comfort factor.

Looking at the list so far I think the 10R will be sitting in the
    garage at home.

Heh, you wouldn't believe the amount of UK plated cages I saw on the
    roads today going towards Paris.

Good point. Mind you, even so, with two mini sprogs in tow, I'll still
get away, I think. I just need to give SWMBO some advance notice. In
fact, I'll do it now. :)

God knows what I'm going to take. If I'm sensible, it'll be the SV. If
I'm an idiot, it'll be the RGV. If I've chopped the SV in for something
else by then (insurance this year looking much rosier than last) then
    the sky's the limit.

I'm still fighting temptation to buy a cheap(ish) enduro type thing
which can be abused at will and piss off slower riders if I put sticky
    tyres on it.

I'll be happier once Suzuki stop offering 0% finance on bikes and I
can forget about buying a nice shiny black DRZ400. I'm off to the bike
show next month but I think I'll make sure Adie comes with me so she
can kick me if I look as if I'm about to spend money.

I certainly won't be buying anything new next year - got my eye on a
Leon Cupra which is going to drain my current account come February. For
no good reason, I've decided to sell the pug as well (see post
elsewhere), which leaves me with no car til then. Doh!

Would you look like Jonny Wilkinson by any chance?
