It's possible to get a replacement in 24hrs if you can get to the passport
    office in person.

Know if you're coming yet TOG?

Don't worry: you know it'll turn up in the last place you look.

All you have to do is decide where you're going to look, and in what order.

Turn the list around and you'll soon have it.

I started in the top drawer of the cupboard next to the computer, and
it isn't in there. My next port of call will be the tank-bag I use to
go abroad with, which is hidden in another cupboard atm. Pound to a
penny it's in there, I've not needed it since Chimay last year.

Except I have a sneaky feeling I may have taken it out to provide
evidence of who I was when I picked a parcel up from the PO. In that
case...I may be paying a visit to the local Passport Office very
    shortly.

  15. You thick ****.

You won't need it surely? got some other photo ID? Uk driving licence?
Especially if we're going straight to Dutchland from Frogland - at which
point you can get a new passport from Dutchland?

Ahh yes but due to the relative nature of gravity, such a list would

    <confused>

Were/are either of you going on a different trip to the rest of the
    UKRM French troup?

Anyway, in my search for my passport I transpired across my driving
licence so at least I know where that is if I need it. Whilst looking
at the paper bit it appears I also have a category GH entitlement from
16.08.82. Eh? What's that, the provision for riding a moped? In
which case does it need to be displayed seeing as I hold a full bike
    licence.

Wish it was that easy. Have an Irish Driving (riding) license, but that's
not regarded as a valid travel document. Besides, I think it's mildly
irritating that as of last year December I'm no longer regarded to be as my
    passport says I am. It's not as if I've done a jasmine/kira/kiran thing. I'm
still me, so why do I have to fork over 41 of the queen's finest every five
years. Ah well, should've done it in time...

The result would be the same in any case: the missing item is always in the
    last place you look.
