French Run Tally

Well, this morning was the first chance I had to have a look at the SO
XL500 following the French Run The tally so far is:

- Offside mirror retrieved into the rucksack
- One side panel retaining screw sacrificed to the god of SOBs
- Main fuse cracked[1], so no electrics when the engine is off
- Bike covered in approximately 1 litre[2] of Total's[3] finest 10w40

I guess I should consider carrying more tools.

[1] Since there's a little rubber holder for *3* spares, I guess this
falls into the "They all do that, sir" category.

[2]Approx 1 litre added over the weekend. Total capacity is 2 litres.
Who needs to do oil changes?

Mebbe.

Personally, I reckon a 1000km weekend on a 25 year old single should
qualify you for some sort of award.

 

Bonwick awarded me a free invitation to Norway but there are limits.

 

He's already been told he's passed the selection tests so he can come
on winter trips with the boys. He's more than adequately qualified
having camped in chilly conditions before but he still seemed
reluctant..

He wouldn't have made the selection criteria for the Frankfurt Run, so
it doesn't impress me.

But would he have turned up if he had an eligible bike?

 

That was the fucked in the head attempt on 125's or summat similar
wasn't it. What was the departure/arrival ratio?
