130 or so miles from here there was a truck for sale, so here we go. It was
very windy from the right today, for the 1st half of the ride, and again no
    snow.

RedShad and I met that big Ed cat on or around Mesquite. As usual, at the
first turn, big Ed turned right when we turned left so our ride together was
    very short. It was fun.

An hour or two later we noticed the truck has previously undisclosed hail
damage and I was in the reject process when RedShad noticed big Eddy
whizzing by on the FM rode. Where did he come from, I mean we were several
turns out in the country. Anyway we flagged him and when to the nearby town
and had lunch. Eddy had 2 lunches in case he got lost again he wouldn't be
    hungry.

Those two were going to a different town than I was so we split up. I'm
heading to Cowtown and about 30 miles East of Dallas on the Interstate my
Wing quit flapping. Big Eddy had helped work on it last week and I think he
    gave it a virus.
The strong winds helped blow me onto the service road to a safe, but
isolated evaluation spot. It (the wing) appeared to need more juice than it
was getting. A rider stopped to see if he could help, but he couldn't. I had
just the other day written a tow company's number down on my insurance card,
thinking maybe some day. I called that "Ride Safe" towing
www.ridesafetx.com. He was at my location to the minute exactly when he said
he'd be there. He has the right rig, and knowledge to do a fine job, and I
got to ride in the truck. I was tired of the wind blowing me sideways, so I
was really pretty happy about the breakdown, what a relief.

Now I got to work on that wing again. That thing has given me a lot of
trouble lately and has about worn out it's welcome in louie lineup.

I had that too on that high dollar honda but they would only haul my

shop of my choice so I just push it.

===how far can a feller push a big ol land barge like that. The day we
bought our Valkyrie, I ran outa gas on the way home. They made me mad,
because they shuda' filled 'er up..( it was on reserve, I didnt
check)..anyway...I had to push that big thing about 200 yards, slightly
up hill, onto some ones drive way. Honey went home, about 10miles, got
    some gasolene.
Nex day, the Honda store re'imBur'sed me,15 dollars....all of this in
    the heat..
