Not necessarily, I've had some set ups where braided hoses made the whole
    plot feel wooden.

Me too. Usually with ShiteOldSuzukis, for some reason.

Same here, and not just on ShiteOld Suzukis.

Safe to say the "ShiteOld" remains constant?

It's worked well for me when I struggled to fully bleed a system.

    Actually, no.

A tidy, and in good fettle CBR600F2 that came with braids being the last one
that made me think 'Hmm, I'd actually prefer it if this had the original
    hoses'.

  9. Given this fact, I wonder why manufacturers don't fit them? They go to
the trouble of designing radial mounts, but then scrimp on the hoses.

I'm assuming factory race bikes use braided? All the race bikes I've
seen have, but I can't remember on the GP stuff.

Hardly skimping (note spelling). They're just not really required, is
all. I honestly can't see how the brakes on my gixxer would be
    improved by them, for example.

Odd, that. I've fitted them to a couple of bikes and they've
definitely helped, but a CBR600RR I rode last year had stock hoses and
    the brakes were fearsome.

Perhaps modern OE hoses have simply improved.

  13. Braided hoses will definately stop the spongie feeling.
