Having your spanky new PC delivered & not having the time to set it up
:-( At least I /think/ it's spanky, but I'm so out of touch with
hardware these days, I'm not really sure.

    T3400 Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16GHz, 6MB, 1333MHz)
    4GB 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel ECC RAM
Three 500GB SATA II drives (2 as RAID 1)
    512MB PCIe x16 nVidia Quadro FX1700 Graphics
    Soudblaster Xfi Xtreme
Vista Ultimate 64 bit (with XP Pro 64 bit if I don't like Vista)
    Various optical drives.

  3. Nice spec, bang for buck the the E8500 is a great CPU.

One of my projects at the moment is releasing a new motherboard based on the
    Q45 chipset from Intel.

Benchmarking various VGA cards is one of the standard validation tests.

I want to rip the Caps Lock key out of my new laptop's keyboard, but
I'm afraid I'll destroy the keyboard in doing it. All my past pc
keyboards have ended up without it.

Not sure, I just said to work 'I want a new PC for home' & that's what
turned up. Black, it is. Oh, & it seems to have four disks - which is
    nice.
