One last try on UKRMC before it goes on ebay. In my current 'clear
bikes I can't ride out of the garage' drive, my R50/5 is for sale.

    The good points:

It's a 1972 (tax-exempt if you can be bothered to contact the DVLA)
civilian R50/5. Everything is there, it runs, is MOT'd and
taxed. Stainless steel exhausts as well. It's the rarest of the /5s
and surprisingly nippy once you get it up to speed - acceleration is
not great but I've had it up to an indicate 90mph without wetting my
    pants.

    The bad points:

Someone hammerited some parts that shouldn't have been (correct colour
though so it's not that noticeable), there's some noise and free play
in the drive train and it looks like the engine will need a rebore
soonish. Not surprising considering it's done 70,000 miles.

All in all, it's a bike that will need a restoration but given the
state it's in one can do it as a rolling restoration.

600 quid UKRMC price, bike located in North London. P/X offers of SOB
    considered.

Got to say that sounds like a hell of a good price, although I'm not
too much of an expert on ShiteOldBeemer values. I'd have thought some
idiot on Ebay would give you a lot more than that......
