  1. I'm about to be in this situation as a buyer.

I'm planning to remove cash from my bank account over 5 days. £500 a
    day.

Transfer/Cheque seems risky - what if they drop the bike before handing
    it to you.

    Paypal... Hmmmmmmmm. Interesting thought.

Bankers draft or Building society cheque I'd do but I bet the seller
    wouldn't.

Why not just go into a branch and get it all in one go?

Is that all? I added up the cost of the extras on my Gixer the other
day, it came to nearly 3500 quid.

It happens a lot in the bike trade too. My first RD400 was a pre-regd
bargain from Cosmopolitan Motorcycles on Old Kent Road. I met up with
the bloke who sold it to me last week in Leigh on Sea. I sold him a
truckload of helmets. What goes around comes around.

Heh... I was actually referring to when I worked in a bike main dealers...
you tend not, bar the big boys in MCN etc., to see so many 'pre-reg
bargains' advertised in the bike game, like you do in the car trade, but
they do exist - if where I worked was anything to go by, you tended to get a
lot more kit thrown in / stronger PXs offered to make sure the targets were
met, right up until the only surefire option was to pre reg a few bikes.
I went in there years ago... I've had cause to venture up and down that road
recently, and they appear to have disappeared.

That's because the owner sold out to the now defunct Carnells, then
moved to Leigh on Sea and opened a new bike shop there. Kelvin is one of
my customers, and has had a long standing good relationship with the
company I work for. Nice bloke, I say that cos my RD400 was cheap and he
buys a hell of a lot of helmets from me :)

Feel free not to buy it then.

I'm going on the prices I've seen on Parkers, Auto Trader and ebay. If you
don't think that's right, frankly that's your problem.

But you are taking the time to make an utterly pointless post. Why bother?

Thanks, seems the only way to get a valuation from you these days is to
    start an argument ;-)

Not that I agree, mind. We'll see what FleaBay dredges up in a few days I
    guess.

.... except having just checked, they are in fact the E360s, which are 36L.

Quick check of completed auctions show the black E360s ranging from £70 to
£95 each. Unless you wanted yellow (ugh!), in which case it's £60!

So, £140 the pair? Very good nick, just the occasional scuff where filtering
    has been somewhat, *ahem* overconfident.

I usually take/give cash but on one occasion I gave a lift to a buyer to
their Bank where they withdrew the agreed amount and then we drove to my
bank to pay it in. He then gave me a lift home in his new car.
