I'm of the opinion you can get more for a vehicle in the local paper than
    on ebay.

emerged from their own little world to say
I've used 2 internet/phone banks. Both allowed you to withdraw large
amounts of cash at a branch.

First Direct: walk into any HSBC; present passport & Switch card; they
contact FD and get authorisation; walk out with cash.

Alliance & Leicester: 2 options. Walk into any A&L branch and do the same
as FD. Alternatively, you can contact A&L yourself and arrange to collect
the cash from any post office. If it is a sub-post office you may need to
give them enough notice to actually get the cash on the premises.

Depends what you're selling and if you include 'prepared to pay near what
you want' in your audience figures.

Just over 4 weeks ago I purchased my 10R from Colin Collins in
Letchworth as a pre-reg bike for £1500 off list price. On yer bike
were offering the same deal on pre-reg bikes and I wouldn't call
either of them major players in the bike sales field.

Two branches and several franchises but I wouldn't call them a big
dealership in the way of some others. My understanding of the pre-reg
thing is that they all have to do it if they have the bike in the
showroom too long. A quick skim through MCN will reveal several other
dealers offering similar deals on bikes due to be replaced in the near
    future.
