The same one I tired to sell at precisely the wrong time last year. Been
lovingly covered over with a dust sheet, left on Optimate and fired up once
    a fortnight since September:

    1998(S) CBR1100XX, Red

    The bad stuff:
Small scratch mark on the front fairing that disappears with some T-Cut/chip
    stick.
Tiny nick in the pillion saddle.
Scratch on the clutch cover where I caught a breeze block putting it onto
    the side stand[1].

    The good stuff:
19,000 miles, very good condition (aside from above of course).
    Full service history.
    6 Months MOT
    Scottoiler & Touring reservoir
Datatool System 3 Alarm/Immobiliser. Certificate of installation for InsCo.
    Datatagged with registration/owner transfer certificate.
Givi WingRack, with 2x pannier brackets and top box bracket. Brake lights
for top box are wired in via the contact plate.

Pics here, including showing the couple of scratches:

Going in auto-trader next week at £3,100 ono. £3k to you lot if someone can
save me the hassle of paying for it and being phoned by half a dozen fucking
"agencies" who all have "guaranteed buyers in your area" once you pay a
    registration fee. Cunts.

[1] Can you sort this with something like smooth Hammerite? Something heat
resistant of course. I'll do it if it won't make it look worse.

IIRC this the nick you "couldn't be arsed to fix" last time?

It graduated to "Realised that if I tried to fix it, I'd probably make it
    worse."

I used engine enamel to respray my end can on the CB500. Worked a treat.
Dunno about durability 'cos I sold the bike shortly afterwards ;-)
