WIll do. My mate Niall popped round yesterday afternoon, and was gone
for over half an hour on it. Confirms it's a good'un (did 120 on the
test ride, apparently, and it's SORNed. Do hope he didn't trip any
scameras). He went over it with a fine tooth comb, and ditto the
paperwork. Liked the K1 bars, too. Said he thought the front brakes a
bit feeble, but then as they're just ancient small Brembo twin-potters
on quite a big bike, they would feel that way if you're used to modern
    stuff (see below).

Anyway, he's having a think about it and I've said I'm away for the
next couple of days (got to go and catch a flight now) so as long as
he can let me know by Thursday, as otherwise I'll have to add it to my
    insurance.

    He's got a 1000 V-Strom and a ZX9R right now. The Strom doesn't get
used that much, and he doesn't like the fairing. The 9R is a bit long
in the tooth. So what he wants to do is flog both, get a cheap touring
bike for when he's doing miles with his wife on the back (like a
French Run), and buy something more hooligan-oriented as well. He
reckons a £1000 KRS fits the bill, but we'll see.

    Yes.

But I did tell him not to.

    That's what I thought.
    And he bought it anyway?

I know, I know. I told him it was a good example of an utterly horrible
bike, but he wanted a SOB and it was cheap.

He ran it for a year, and sold it for (IIRC) £25 less than he'd paid for
it. Memorable moments were when the right-hand mirror glass vibrated
clear out of the housing and fell into the road.

And when the rear tyre deflated *very* fast because some dork had fited
a 19" tube into the 18" wheel by putting a fold in it, and it had split
    along the fold.

So, yes, his judgement is definitely suspect :)

24 hours if you wanb it, because otherwise it goes on my new insurance
