FS: Honda VFR800Fi

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by jackhackettuk, Sep 8, 2008.

  1. Given I've just bitten the bullet and won a stupidly dear to insure
ZX9R on ebay, the VFR now has to go.

    Key selling points:

1998 R reg Honda VFR800FiW in black. Original paint / panels with no
sign of any obvious drop damage in the past and previously owned by
one SteveH of this parish for six years.

As you'd expect of a bike of this vintage, there are a few minor
scratches, but nothing out of the ordinary for something this age.

    32,000 miles from new.
    MOT til May 2009
    Taxed til November 2008

3mm left on the front tyre (Conti Road Attack), the rear will need
    replacing imminently.

Good chain and sprockets, good exhaust collector box etc.

Comes with the standard can - carbon race ART can available for an
extra £80, and it sounds really nice with this.

Due an oil change which I'll do before it goes.

I've not had one of these before so no idea what a minter should ride
like, but as far as I'm concerned it rides very well for what it is,
    and is ultra reliable.

Also pretty good on fuel compared to the 750s I've had - 45mpg on a
run, no worse than 34mpg when being used for scratching etc.

    £1850, located in Kent.

Pics to follow - email addy in the headers is unmunged.

  2. Ah, ignore my last post to you then, unless by you saying you wanted to save
money, you meant you wanted to spend more by buying mine as well.

  3. I just haven't got the budget for something as new as yours,
    unfortunately. :)

Much as I'd like something like that - all in good time.

  4. Reduced to £1795, including the panniers and wing rack - I'm sure TOG
will be along presently to determine whether or not that's a fair
    price. :)
