actually, when I say "amusing", I really mean "boring". Just killfile
him and get on with life.

just so you know, you were actually worse than him by the end of the
    evening.

That should be a fucking lesson to you.

I think you know exactly what you've done. Going forward, let's have
fewer of this sort of thing.

I'm not important enough to use management-speak.

I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.

Krusty hasn't had it in ages, so he might be able to convert you before
    you visit BGN.

  6. As one who does just exactly that, may I just say this?

**** right off and mind your own fucking business.

My lesson to him was ignoring the state he was in and giving him the
beer I couldn't be arsed to drink, as I departed for my tent.

I hope it added to the hangover.

Are we using the 'had a bang on the head' line here, or do you have a
better explanation for the authentic frontier gibberish quoted above?

As for the camping, don't be put off.
Get a Millets inflatable single mattress and battery pump.
Get a Coleman gas catalytic heater.

Get tent nice and warm before getting in, with your (decent) sleeping bag
unzipped. It only takes 10 mins. Zip it up keeping a layer of merino
thermals on and you won't be cold (in the uk).

If you do get chilly in the small hours you can put the Cat on for 10 mins
    and it will be fine.

But mate you want a proper tent. Get a Kyham, they go up in 60 seconds and
down into the bag in 3 minutes. All in one piece.
This one will let you stand up mostly.

Can be loud, yep, crass, maybe, thick, well i would have to say not & I'm no
    more racist than you.

Anyone can have too much to drink, i don't need to point that out to you
    surely?

*Somewhat racist"...Yet it's fine to be openly anti-semetic on this
group without fear of being labelled a racist...FFS.

Given where Nige live, his views, IMO, are highly relevant in dealing
properly with "racist" attitudes in this country.

Do you really believe that? Or put another way, is it a final judgment?

I may form "preliminary" judgements based on an online persona, but I'll
judge properly when I see the person face to face.

Do I believe what? That Nige thinks it that? Yes, I do.
Well, if I only know someone from their online activity, I'll judge
    them by that. Meeting someone isn't the be-all and end-all - no-one
ever *really* knows another human being, so meeting them is only one
step in a process that has no end.
