Given my mixed heritage it amuses me when I get accused of being racist. Cunts come in all skin colours and religions, so I don't tend to judge people on those scores alone... with the exception of jews -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer Fireblade 929 (For sale) CBR600F-W trackbike SR250 SpazzTrakka, SR250 wivva topbox TS250C RD400F, somewhere I see a bright new future, where chickens can cross the road with no fear of having their motives questioned
I like Nige because what you see is what you get and I've found him decent company on a night out. I know my opinion is worth **** all but I'd be more than happy to share a drink with the bloke. Nige, you can **** off because I'm no way going to have your babies....

Ha, you might like to think that but you'd be wrong. I ended up watching the football and only having three pints of Boddies.
That wasn't meant to suggest you were guilty of that. You've answered your own question. Simply name calling doesn't IMO mean someone is racist. Asking why they've used that term is important. If it's through simple ignorance (like it is in many cases), that's not the sort of "racism" (if indeed it is racism at all) that worries me. Certainly no worse that referring to jocks, paddys etc.
and he certainly isn't thick. nor can he be labeled racist 'cause his views are roughly the same as mine.
You may... Maybe it's just me, but I 'just don't get it', as to why anyone would want to register with Facebook under a name that isn't there own unless they felt they had something to hide. Feel free to get all shouty again if you wish, but that's my take on it and '**** off and mind your own business' doesn't really detract from the above tbh... you miserable ****.
The killfile is over there ----> should you wish to join the rest of the flock of sheep. Maybe you'd like to explain to us all why anyone would want to register under a pseudonym on Facebook if they have nothing to hide or aren't hiding from something / one, rather than just rubbish the point
You seem bothered enough to rubbish the raising of the point, but aren't capable of actually debating it. Maybe, just maybe, you don't 'get' Facebook, only it's a valid point that I've raised... that is, if you understand how Facebook works. You tell me. I'm genuinely interested to understand why it is you appear unwilling to debate a perfectly valid point such as the above, yet feel compelled enough to reply to rubbish the raising of the point.
I registered under my real name on Facebook to be able to view UKRM content. I've since deactivated my account. As I had allowed family members to link to my account I started to get every fucking **** with the same surname pestering me. I couldn't be arsed to set up filters as Facebook is pretty pointless. It was easier to bin the fucking thing. I might consider signing up in future using an alias to view specific content. If I wanted to view UKRM content then registering as wessie would make sense, no? Was this scenario too difficult for you to work out?
It takes five minutes to set up basic filters on there that would have stopped you getting twats along the lines of the above from contacting you, IME. Hardly a PITA... ....unless there's little of interest on there for you. Yes and no; if all you're doing is using FB for UKRM purposes, then yes, maybe registering under the pseudonym you use in here would make sense. But if you wouldn't mind using it for a little more than just that, (and you never know, if you persevered with it maybe you'd find other stuff to do on there whereby it involved people who know you as 'you' rather than your pseudonym in here), then reactivating your old account and tweaking the filters etc, would probably suit your needs better in the longer run than the former. Ok, let's expand on this further then, taking into account the scenario you've outlined above; why would someone set up an account neither in their name or an established psuedonym they've used elsewhere, then? IMHO, they're either a bit thick when it comes to configuring Facebook, or they've got something to hide / hide from, and / or are paranoid. Usenet differs in as much as you have no control over who is reading what you've written, and it's been proven in here on more than one occasion why this can be something of a 'bad thing', (as I'm sure TOG would confirm), hence why adopting a pseudonym in here makes reasonable sense... a difference which Colin obviously has trouble grasping. But then he is getting on a bit. (1) (1) Bless him
Because the "perfectly valid point" is simply an opinion that you're expressing, and therefore not worth debating. That's because your continual raising of the point, indeed any point, like a dog at a bone, is tedious in the extreme.
