I'm advertising this for a mate, who's buying a new bike next week.
He's currently looking at trading his old one in, but would obviously
rather sell it privately. He's only looking to get a little bit more
than the trade-in, so this is stonkingly cheap - the downside being
that he needs to sell it this weekend.

    Here're the details:

    1997 ZX-6R G1
Metallic blue (yes, it's non-standard paint)
    20k Miles
    11 months MOT
    DataTag
    £1700 ONO

E-mail glen205 at msn dot com
    Or tel. 07905 087 913

Cash required by Sunday or it gets traded-in.

Hmmmm, not cheap enough, I'd say.

£1700 stonkingly cheap? For an eight year old crashed bike? I must be
getting old or pikey. Or both.

I dunno, compared to some of the prices I have seen on tickets this week
in /some/ dealer's showrooms[1] it ain't so bad but I know what you
    mean.

[1] It's bollox about there being any slow down in the trade, certainly
in Essex. There is a very definite attitude of, "I can sell anything I
put in the showroom twice over at full price without even getting out of
my chair and you want a fucking test ride?" to their laughter.

Well TOG's estimate was over two grand (yes, with the non-standard
paint), and supposedly he's a man who knows what he's on about. And
there are degrees of 'crashed' - mine looks a mess and all it's
suffered is a couple of low-speed expeditions into the gravel.
