Never, ever again will I buy a fully faired bike.

Got most of the required bolts out with no problems, but I now have one
left - just happens to be the vital one that will allow me to get to the
    oil filter.

Don't you just love the rubber threaded bits that spin round whilst
turning the allen bolt on the other side...... especially when you can't
get to the rubber bit on the other side.

If this had been the TRX, I'd have had the job done by now :-(

I hate the bastard things. Somehow you have to get a set of Mole grips
on the rubber doobry and then apply brute force.

Tip - I replaced the ones on the bottom of the Ducati fairing (they
hold the two little plates that join both halves of the fairing panels
together, under the engine) with those black plastic number plate
bolts. They aren't under any stress there, they can't be seen, and
    they never, ever seize.

Good tip. Mine were siezed when I removed the fairing to give the bike
a good clean. Had to leave the bottom part joined and carefully slide
the side fairing out. Then I could work on it to get them freed.

Yup. That's what worked for me.

All back together now - cleaned on the inside, polished outside, and
reassembled with liberal amounts of moly grease.
