Oh yes, 400km out of 19l at touring speeds. Somewhat less if you are
    in the twisty bits.

(And that's lanesplit for 1km not 1m... although sometimes you
only get one or two car lengths at a time)

People keep saying 15,000 kms for tyres on a Norge, I get 8000 :-/
You need a 4 stroke scooter you do :)
They are badged SYM now and not Bolwell but yes they do.

    Jodz's Mio 100 uses 2 litres/100kms (about the same as a Honda 50cc
scooter) and my HD200i evo uses 3 litres per hundred kms (and that's 80%
    highway speeds commuting to work).

Most Euro scoots are nice (really I mean it), but scooters are supposed
to be cheap and practical and SYM do cheap and practical better than
    most. [1]

[1] I could probably be tempted by an Aprillia Scarabeo 200 (the 250
doesn't have a flat floor) if a dealer was closer though...

    Not an overly stressed rider?

    On the Z6s? Boggle.

Must be really harsh road surfaces where you are.

Current set has a bit over 10k up, still looking fine.

Most of the roads around here are in the foothills of the Great Dividing
Range and have that high traction road surface (which chews tyres faster).

Sigh. Just like a IC engine then.

  7. My V-Strom 650 does 4.5l/100km and the scooter must do something like 2l/100km.
My twin turbo Liberty car does 11ish so the bike is pretty bad for a bike. For
a litre sports bike it is pretty normal but for a bike it is abysmal.
