Are their budget exhausts any good?

Was just a general question about workmanship, but if you want specifics,
for the Blackbird, £200 new, pair of oval budgets, link pipes, removable
baffles, etc. Are they worth buying?

Got one for the Bandit. Very impressed by the quality and fit. It came with
the necessary link pipe and centre stand bracket, so no mods necessary.
With the baffle in, there is no discernable difference in performance or
fuel consumption, although it sounds a bit nicer (and it's a hell of a lot
lighter than the standard can). With the baffle out, there is a distinct
improvement in the upper midrange (say 6 to 10K) and the sound is glorious.

One problem - running with the baffle out ruins the fuel consumption. Not
because it is objectively worse, but because it sounds so fucking good when
you give it some, that you tend to give it some a lot.

And it lets my wife follow my progress for at least 2 miles on my way to
work in a morning. She said I was going too fast past a nearby farm one
morning - I was in fact a mile beyond it.
