    Buggerit.
Part of the centre stand fell off Saturday, looks like it's rotted through.
Anyone know of cheap place to get one?
Done the EBay route, no joy.

But not the Ks, surely? Ks are reliable as a stone. Just ask Burnt. Or
    Des.

Aye, You can't get a second hand one for the 8v anywhere, I tried. In
the end I did get that one welded up, and thought it was a good job. You
can fit the later stand off the 16v, which is solid, but it's expensive.
MotoBins and Motor Works both have waiting lists for their stands.

You do have the later bracket fitted though, so the 16v stand should fit
    straight on.

Pattern fault. They all do that sir.

Best thing to do is to stump up for a new one since the old ones will
likely be fucked as well. Motorworks or Motobins around a ton,
apparently the 16v version is better braced and won't do this.

If they've got one. When I called they said the s/h ones were all
fucked and not worth bothering with; mind you this was around a year or
    so ago.

The centre stand isn't man enough for the job. Well, not after 15+
years of hefting the lumpen bike around on it.

The shaft drive is a bit dodgy too. And the rear shocks get fucked
easily. The front forks twist under braking, the brakes aren't much cop
and the disks crack and warp.

The engine and ancilliaries are pretty solid though.
