We were out for a pub meal last night, when an elderly couple who use the cafe regularly wandered in. I'd not met them before, so Jackie did the introductions blah blah. Anyway the bloke mentioned something about his work so I asked him what he did, bearing in mind he's in his 70s. "I build racing bikes - only 2-strokes though, I don't bother with 4-strokes." Needless the say the conversation went on, & it turns out he's been building, tuning & racing smokers for over 40 years. I mentioned my Hiro & the fact I rarely ride it as parts don't exists, & he said bring it round anytime & he'll fix anything that needs doing - "I make all the parts myself". We've been invited for a meal round their place, & a tour of his bike collection (40+ apparently - all 2-strokes - nnnnnnggghhh). I think I'll be taking Kleenex... -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Heh, I was going to put a "don't read, Lozzo" warning in the subject. Would it help if I told you they're moving to India next year & he'll be selling all the bikes? It's not tonight, sadly. Maybe I'll try to arrange it for next weekend as a pre-birthday treat -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
I'll do my best - I'm sure he won't mind. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
