In my ignorance of performance cars, IWHT that these would have been
amongst the worst. It just goes to show.
Hmm. I'm 6'1 and I just about fit into a kart, though I have driven
the odd Honda-powered indoor one that had a narrow seat that actually
    hurt.
No 'Off' switch, I take it?

Ah. More than just a bit tail-happy, then.

See, it's true. Every cloud really does have a silver lining.

Search term, 'mad max "much damage"' told me all I needed to know.

Weren't allowed. They thought we'd plant them straight into the tyre
wall and they probably aren't wrong. 400bhp, a big heavy V8 and rain
    don't really mix.

JP1 was the 2 seater Le Mans car. The Formula Jag was basically the
same car, but as a single-seater.
Oh, I completely agree. But after a couple of laps in each car, I
knew what I was supposed to be doing, and needed to concentrate on
doing it. The instructor broke my concentration.

I think that's why I went fast in the Formula Jag. I could think
about exactly what I wanted to do.

Jag's traction control is horrible. The old XJ40s had LSDs, no TC and were a
real giggle - easy to get sideways and would launch off the line with
absolutely indecent pace if you stalled the torque convertor against the
    brakes...

Current Jags don't get LSDs even as options, which seems stupid to me (that
said, with an open diff you're not going to get major sideways fun anyway,
so why the insistence on having it on?). It'd stop me from having one. If I
    had any money.
