Not if you look at it the other way - they beat him up then left the
bats in the car he stole to ensure plod & other car thieves linked the
    two.

Insurance companies that **** about resolving a claim ge everything they ask
    for.

My brother got knocked off a SO Suzi GS750 which he'd paid 400 quid for. The
insco gave him a courtesy bike Honda CB500, (just perfect for his needs at
the time) and after him constantly ringing to find out if the claim was ever
going to be settled, he gave up ringing and just carried on riding.

7000 quids worth of bike rental charges and almost a year later, they paid
him out. The 3rd party insco were spewing and doing everything they could to
get the money out of my brother, but I reckon half a dozen "**** off, you
stupid twat" letters, convinced them to give up.

don't you get supermarket home delivery in that London? Choice of Asda,
    Waitrose, Tesco & Sainsburys here.

well, sure - and we had 48 bottles of Leffe delivered from Tesco just
the other day. But - for example - on Saturday my stepsons decided
they fancied some lagers to drink whilst watching the football, so I
popped to Tesco in the Aygo and bought a couple of 16-packs of Becks
Vier (on offer) - would have been an annoyance to have to do that on
    the bike.

  6. They do take the piss with the hire charges though , long term hire
you can get a half decent car for £150 a week yet mention insurance
companies and its £150 a day

  7. Pointless if they have no money ,dont own the property they live in
    and dont work

They reckon less than a third of any county court judgements ever get
    satisfied

I believe in France if you dont pay up it becomes a criminal offence
, should try that stance over here

Or - the posh alternative - the Wine Society, whose services I've just
started using after maybe ten years of lay-off.

Oh yes. Enforcement is the tricky bit. The twat who tried to do me
over, many moons ago, discovered to his cost that I was a bit more
imaginative and nasty than he'd reckoned, and settled *very* quickly,
after he'd had the heavies at his door.

Perceived risk. If you were to hire a car to somebody who'd just
damaged their own car, or been stupid enough not to avoid the other
vehicle, you'd want some danger money too.

well, yes. I was talking about that yellow, fizzy shit that darsy gives
    to his adopted sprogs.

For wine, I order from Naked Wines, Gondola[1], Laithwaites and M&S.

[1] although they are unlikely to get another order as they seem to want
to push Lindeman branded wines too much. It's reasonable plonk but not
something you want to drink frequently.

  17. That doesnt always work though been a few cases where the heavies
return only to be met by the plod and the plaintiff ends up in real
deep shit paying off big time

About ten years ago i had a local woman who point blanc refused to
pay my bill i got pulled for harrasement because i knocked on her
door 6 times in a week yet the bitch never answered the door

Took her to court and she got to pay off the debt at something like a
£1.00 a week , it cost me 75p to pay the fucker in

Must admit revenge was sweet , she fucked off on holiday for a month
with new boyfriend and failed to pay me my pound so i immediatly
started bankruptcy proceedings on the basis she hadnt kept up with
the payments by the time she got home she was fucked the bankruptcy
was in the hands of the official reciever and i got me money back
when the house went up for auction

Gave me a nice glow of satisfaction
