Did you not wonder why there was a optimate tail hanging out of it ?
Connect a fucking optimate to it !

The battery is an utter twat to get to, which is why there's a gel one
    in it.

First remove the plate on the top of the tank cover

Then remove the side tank cover screws

Then ease the tank cover up.

Then remove the 6 screws on the battery cover.

Then **** around trying to get the battery tray over the fairing.

Casually muse to yourself why there's a plateful of factory fitted
Spaghetti to connect to 2 battery terminals.

**** around trying to get the entrails back in around the battery and
the battery box into a hole where it won't go.

Think. "I know, i'll put an optimate tail on this, cos i'm fucked if
    i'm doing this every time".

    Paul.

Good plan; make a lawyer rich and eventually receive bugger all damages
    and costs from the perp.

if he's let the gel battery go totally flat then something other than an
    optimate may be required.

    See Ctek references passim

  5. Er, the heavies were the bailiffs, in this instance.

    <snip good tale of recovery>

Nice. In my case, the twonk thought his home address was a secret but
didn't count on my following him home on my bike when he'd finished
    work.

  6. I have the Laithwaites Four Seasons offer still runnng. There's
invariably something interesting in there and, more importantly, it
always seems to arrive just as the rack is nearly empty.

But the WS is better overall, IMHO.

You do not need a lawyer, just ask for the correct forms at the court
office, they will even help you fill them in.

I'd probably go and watch their court appearance even if I wasn't
needed as a witness but the trouble is I'd end up in the dock myself
if I was seen dragging my finger across my throat in a slitting throat
    kind of way.

I'd be happy if the cunts were only fined but I know that if I had
photographic memory I'd run them over if I saw them crossing the
    road.

  10. You're not going to like this... and it's probably stupid.

But offer them 20 quid for your bike keys back.

(presume it's one of those with a chip in the key so they can't simply
    cut a copy)

    Wrong. Very wrong.
The court's office will not help you fill out the forms, that's not what
they are there for. If you do fill out the right form you have to pay.
If the other party ignore it you have to pay some more. To get the
bailiffs on the case you have to pay. To get the bastards back into
court for an ability to pay hearing, you have to pay. Even if the
bastards are deemed capable of paying you have to pay some more to
escalate things. If you do manage to get them back to court, as they
are scum they will qualify for legal aid, whereas you prolly won't.
Bankruptcy? Yeah sure, but guess what, you have to pay some more, and
the outcome will make bugger all difference in the end. DAMHIKIJD, and
I would probably not trouble the legal profession should a similar set
    of circumstances arise again.

  12. I don't think I could take pleasure in someone losing their home.

I always thought you were a nasty ****.

Mind you, on this occassion I'm tempted to call bullshit- care to post
    some proof here?

I don't know about purely personal stuff but when it comes to Sole Traders
and SME land putting someone in the dock is hardly a rarity. Quite common
for them to have underwritten trading on a family home.

  16. I can see the point. However, what you don't know is how many times the
perp fucked others over. Quite probably, many, many times.

Quite possibly caused a lot of misery herself.

My feeling is that if you play with fire, you must accept the risk of
    burning yourself.
