No. I did manage to scam a Handspring thingy from a supplier but being
in the days before wifi or 3g (and never having any meetings or
appointments) it was no use to me so I gave it away.

In fact the only reason I bothered snarfing it in the first place was to
wind my boss up. And it worked.

  3. and were you necking them before 0700 in the morning?

I do get mildly concerned about people swigging cans of lager on their
way to work at about 7 in the morning. Call me an old fuddy duddy but
it just screams "alcoholic" to me.

when I used to go to La Defense in Paris, there were several bars
nearish (including one directly outside) the office in which I worked
    - even at 7 in the morning, these bars were open, with people in suits
drinking glasses of lager or red wine - I'm a keen drinker, but this
always weirded me out a little.

    anything he says.

update: I was in Asda(!) yesterday, and discovered they had a special
    on Fosters (I don't drink it, you understand): 3 x 15 packs for £20.
Cheaper than cans of soft drink, effectively.

Anyway, I just counted - we now have in the house:

    45 cans of Fosters
    20 cans of Becks
    218 bottles of Leffe.

    no wine!

    **** me.

  15. The last doctor I saw (I have a selection) kept telling me "You high
risk" as I estimated my alcohol consumption at 25-30 units a week. I
have to keep seeing them as I have to keep the hypertension under
control; for some reason they get upset me driving trains with high
    blood pressure.

I think I'll try a different one next time!

    I keep almost buying a T-shit that says "I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a
drunk, alchoholics go to meetings". Then I remember that people who wear
funny t-shirts are cunts. Is there a company who will embroider it onto
    a fine shirt ?

Just got the results of my liver function test, "satisfactory" is good
    isn't it ?
