Gas leak

  1. I have a 1984 Kawasaki 700 LTD. There is a gas leak and I can not figure out
    where it's leaking from.
    Any tips to find leak?

Any clues on where you're finding the gas? Given the year, the first thing
I'd do is pull the tank and look at it closely. Be suspicious of any small
bubbles in the paint. Probe these with a dental pick or small nail. When
the nail goes through the rusted out tank, we can discuss the merits of a
big wad of JB Weld versus lining the tank with POR.

Try to do this with an almost empty tank or you'll be wondering what to do
with what amounts to a 5 gallon bucket of unleaded with a hole in it.

The other common areas are the petcock, and fuel lines. A stuck float will
also drain the tank via the carb but I'm assuming you're seeing this with
    the petcock turned off.
