    Heyup
Got a bit of leakage from the oil pan on me GS500 just an annoying drip
really ;-) Anyone recommend a good make of gasket? i.e. rice cispies or
cornflakes which is the better? or should I stop being cheap and go to Mr
Suzuki? Any one know if you need to get the zorst pipes of first?

    Nahthen,

Compared to further far more informed recommendations I'm sure you will get,
I have to get in and mention my silicone silliness.

Ever since successfully using simple bathroom silicone for the primary drive
cover on the Thunderbird, I've used it elsewhere including for the oil drain
and filter cover. 500 miles later all is still dry and intact and before TOG
and Timo ask - yes, the oil is still there.

Thin, neat bead in place, assemble loosely, then tighten up and compress
when it's gone off. Easy enough even for me.

The stuff is dirt cheap, easy to remove. Avoid over doing it so excess can't
wander off and block anything and remember that petrol contact is a no no.

Don't know about the zorsty bit.
