If it was a mate's bike, why didn't the mate get the NIP?

  4. In the days of universal Rider Policies, it wasn't a problem. You just
took it for granted you were covered. It's easy to find you aren't
    nowadays.
    Any and all.

I miss the old Rider policy. Nice and simple it was.

    Oh right, in that case

I think you're right. That always used to be the case, or have they put
DD on your licence for life now? ISTR someone mentioning this a while
back but I didn't take too much notice because I don't drink.

I know that normal points only count for 3 years but stay on for 4, but
inscos want to know about any points in 5 years, the bastards.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.

Try it for real. I dare you. Then provide proof.
Decry those with actual experience of the situation in favour of your
own 'web-based research' then - and see how far it gets you in the
    real world, snot gobbler.
    No, that's your mum.

Which also is the time for a conviction resulting in a fine to become
spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, 1974.

    Coincidence? I think not....

These days, if I'm not mistaken, a Catagory P entitlement needs a CBT
    to validate it.

I'm sure it says on the back of my CBT that I can only drive a moped
on a full car licence if I send off my CBT certificate, that way I can
have Cat-P added to my licence as a full entitlement. So it would
seem that one does need a CBT for a moped now. I might be talking
    bollocks, mind you.

The amount of points that are given to the other offences are normally
listed as 2, 3-6, etc, but for MS60 it says "As Appropriate"

    Hmm.

Info from my handy-dandy Rat mate. Yes, DD stuff stays on the licence for 10
years. Everything else is "counted" for 3 and can come off after 4.

My son has a drink/driving conviction (it was a morning after thing),
it has no effect at all on his insurance now being more than five
years ago. I *think* it's still on his licence though.
