Gatso fine - unlicensed rider!

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by colin.forrer, Oct 26, 2005.

  1. Standard question on hire form, have you had any convictions for DD
within the last 10 years. They always want to see the licence so
there's no hiding it. My brother spent no time in the nick, just two
years banned for having a kip next to his bike whilst totally shit
    faced.

The same week he was banned for 2 years and fined ~£300 in another
case someone got the same fine and ban for causing a death whilst
    drunk driving.

  2. Oh, just go and do it. Last time I was up, we went round the red route
twice - once in morn, once in afternoon. Haven't ventured onto the
black route yet - ex can get round whole of black route in a couple of
    hours.

    a) That's for a moped, not a motorcycle on l-plates
    b) you'd still need a cbt to take a bike test
    c) you'd be a fool not to take a cbt before going out on the road.

Ginge is exagerating a tad. We did the blue and large sections of the
red. Ok, Ginge got dropped on a few climbs but then, so did I.

But it makes me feel *old*. I want to be able to do it without slowing
down, like I chould have about 14 years ago..

Actually saying 14 years ago makes me feel old too.

    Crap.

    a) We were talking about mopeds! The bit that was snipped from the top
of what is quoted above read:

    b) I know
    c) Some sort of training I agree, though the only point in paying £100
for the CBT is to get the necessary bit of paper.
