heh. I warmed up for Thursday with a seven hours drinking at the cricket on Sunday, following a rather good ten hour session on Saturday.

I had a job interview at 9am this morning, so I didn't drink anything at all on Sunday or yesterday!!
That's a bit OTT. I think I'd abstain on the night before, but a whole 48 hours is a bit keen. When do you start the new job?
wanted to be on tip-top form. this was just a first interview, with one of the interviewers (the company's CTO) being on the phone from Paris. I'll need to meet her face to face if I get through to the 2nd round.
Well, if it's not on Friday morning you've no excuse not to get yourself down to Earl's Court[1] on Thursday. [1] Why does Earl's Court have an apostrophe but Barons Court doesn't?
sure - but if I do get a 2nd interview, it is likely to be this Friday, or the week after next. Or something. no-one knows.
My only available day is tomorrow due to shifts. Sadly most of the work mob seem to be going today and nobody seems interested in Weds so it looks like I won't be going.
