    Beer Festival, Earl's Court.

CT, I presume you're turning up with the usual crowd on the Thursday?

  2. I shall be there on Tuesday with a goodly number of colleagues.

Don't be expecting any sense from the train service!

    "Hat Day".

    I looks great! Except that

    a) I don't really like "beer"
    b) Earls Court is a pain to get to.

Yes, lots of people wearing stupid fucking hats. Unfortunately, some
of them purport to be my friends.
That's a bit of a downer for a beer festival.
Pah - it's going to be three trains for me, but I'm still going.

It's just not the same since it moved from Olympia.

on paper it's not hard to get to for me, but I always seem to run into
difficulties on any journey that requires the District line.

Then use the Piccadilly Line instead!

oh yeah. I was thinking of Olympia, which has it's only little branch
    of the District.

Anyway, I'm holding out for the Southbank Wine and Cheese Festival in
October. More my sort of thing, old chap.

I'm thinking the Saturday afternoon, as it might be a tad chilly in a
marquee on an October Friday evening.
