    Tricky one.
A snake or a serpent and then you could use a variety of dark pinks and
even reds and then you wouldn't need
    would you?

Those could be crimson and black.

I passed my test recently, From experience the insurance will criple
you. Example I am 37 obviously zero no claims insurance for a 2001
Group14 ZX6r is 395 of our Great british pounds. (third Party F&T),
Alarmed and Garaged in Monkseaton near the coast Newcastle upon
    Tyne.(not a high risk area)

SO for 19 in London It doesnt bear thinking about. Id heed some of the
advice on here (I didnt and i regret it), Get a smaller older bike get a
couple of years NCB then try for something newer . As far as Helmets go
how much do you value your head?

Whilst Im on though people may know I bought a Firestorm and Im changing
    it due to
    a. Its got the fuel consumption of a tank with a fuel leak.
    b. Ive a mate that offered me a good price.
So im lookin for a 600 shortlist is. ZX6r , CBR600f, Thundercat, Sprint
rs, Daytona 600. Im 6 foot 3 18 1/2 stone , so dont want to break my
back or my arse. Ill be riding mainly weekends some commuting and need
reasonable comfort and performance for 200 mile journeys.

Herself tried that with wedding kit (not her wedding, I hasten to
add.) She ended up looking like someone wearing clothes a size too
    small.

Reds and pinks would be good, they could be framed with a white
outline is I needed them to be. Couple of darker greens could go in
    too.
No, but there are ways to hide the white marks from the eye is needed.
    Good idea.

For the main leathers I'd like to have them textured and designed
properly. I have www.luxtenebrae.com in my bookmarks and I like their
work with leather, and Champ has spoken quite highly of the
craftmanship in the past (just look at the work that's gone into
    http://www.luxtenebrae.com/images/newwebready/fishtailb.jpg for
proof). It seems to be kid leather, so it would be expensive but a
decent quality. I'm not sure how useful kid leather is while skidding
across a road, however. They would probably have to make some
amendments to their stitching as it would need to be a lot more
    robust.

    http://www.luxtenebrae.com/corsets_venus_overbust.html if you look at
the bottom right, that's the kind of colour that could be used if I
was having a one-colour 'swoosh' on the black leather. I would also
like the patterned leather texture applied too.

Man (is it ok to call you man?) you are a million fucking miles away

Piss all I think about sums it up.

Two things, first it would show the dirt summat horrible, you couldn't
go more than a hundred yards down the road wearing it, a couple of bees
and a few greenfly and it would need a clean, not really practical and
second the reverse with that and a black swoosh would be better.

I obviously wasn't comparing my large frame and her frame as being the
same. I was just using that image to show the quality of workmanship.
Perhaps I need to talk to Graham at Connections, whoever he might be.
I understand that he is one of the foremost authorities on such
matters, especially if one is going to be spending lots o' dosh on
something that is going to be cared about.

    Maybe.

Kangaroo seems to be voted the world's best skin to skid down the road
on but suffers in the clinging to and caressing your naked flesh like a
lover department. However, it seems to me that a compromise might be
achieved if a little thought is given to the matter.

I mean, stop me if I am wrong but a ball pouch made of soft kid is
unlikely to be in contact with the road as much as your hips or your
shoulders even if you needed one as big as mine.

I am sure that it is possible to build a set of nothing but various
leathers to suit both fashion, fetish and the fickleness of fate but I
shudder to think of the cost.

    Que?

They're not cheap at the best of times. I'm not looking for a romper
    suit.
I've no idea who he is, perhaps I've got the wrong name. Searching on
Google Groups only pops up an old thread by Sir. Tony saying that he
wants to know who he is.

They looked the best all round thing and they seem to have more storage
    space. But...

    http://www.dsa.gov.uk/Category.asp?cat=118

    I can't have a bike with a power output of 25kW until I'm 21. Is that a
major restriction? I need to look at bikes a bit more closely...

    Thanks for the other advice.

It depends entirely upon power to weight ratios but 25kW effectively
restricts the bike to 400cc or less if you actually want the thing to
ever accelerate much beyond 60 on the flat.

Yes and no. What you really need to do is see if a bike will fit into
your life in the first place.

A little 125 will give you all the road experience you need in the
course of six months and a burning desire for AT LEAST another 475cc or
it will scare the shit out of you.

Ah nuts. Still, I did OK in the driving so finger's crossed.
Cool, thanks. Having looked around a bit more, that seems to be about
the right price. I don't think I'd be able to ride or insure the more
    expensive ones.

An old supermini at that :-(

Thanks for all the advice (same goes to the people I've not replied to)

Right, you will pass your test on a 125cc beastie and be awarded with
an A-Class "Standard Motorcycle", known as an A2 licence. Basically,
you can ride whichever bike you want as long as it is restricted to
33bhp. I would suggest sticking to a ER5 or CB500 for this as they
are easily restricted. More powerful bikes aren't always as easy to
restrict and some are just silly with a restriction.

A 400cc bike may well hit the 33bhp limit without any restriction.

If you are thinking of getting a licence then get one as early as
possible. If you pass your A2 now then your licence will tick over to
a full class A exactly two years later on (you can ride whatever you
like afterwards without any kind of restriction) - it will not tick
over to a full class A when you hit 21 years old. ie. If you pass
your A2 test when you are 20, you will not be permitted to lift your
restriction until you are 22 unless you do an Accellerated Access
course, which is basically the same test as you passed on your 125 but
    on a 46bhp bike.
