It's a word we're using inthis thread and everyone understands what an
autobahn is. The anglicised plural is autobahns

Just because it's called "Victoria Bitter" doesn't mean it has to
taste like English bitters. OTOH, the "Victoria" kind of gives it away...

  9. The cheap local beers are without exception shit. But there is some
quite nice micro brewery stuff about.

...and their "stubby" is two litres rather than 375 ml.

I did hear once about a Darwin sport called "rock sitting".
Paricipants waited for low tide then walked/paddled out to prominent
rocks in the sea, taking plenty of beer with them. Then as the tide
came in and isolated them, they proceeded to drink beer, continuing on
until the next low tide allowed them back to shore.

<shrug> I find VB drinkable. James Squire makes some very palatable beer.
I'm partial to their porter. Coopers make a nice stout, and their pale
ale and sparkling ale are very drinkable.

On the other hand I've 'real-ale' bitters in the UK that were
    undrinkable, tasted like stewed tea.

Tried VB and Tooheys. Also a brewery called IIRC Blue Tongue.

Not to my taste at all.
