German Server

    Is it my Agent, or is the German Server really slow atm?

    It's probably your connection rather than Agent, iyswim. Try doing
    tracert news.individual.net
    at a command prompt to see if there's a blockage.

    Just done so - but I don't understand the results. It's a bit like
    learning questions in a foreign language and not understanding the
    answer.

    17 rows - three columns of times plus addresses. Most times around 30
    ms, highest 110ms. Not after a tutorial, though!

    Current download speed 400k as against 512k, so I knew it wasn't that.

    It basically just shows all the servers involved in passing information
    between you & the German server, & how long it takes to hop between
    those servers. 110ms is a bit on the high side - my max is 44ms, with
    most hops below 40ms.
