You obtained the data that your made-up number wasn't on the database. You
could have been doing this for purposes of terrorism. Also, you
fraudulently affirmed that your made-up number was the registration number
of a vehicle of which you were the owner. You then boasted of your perjury
on a public forii, thereby making the whole of ukrm accessories after the
    fact.

I don't doubt that you contrived a reg number in a format that could
never exist (in the UK at least). Then there is possibly the element of
    Mens Rea to be considered.

    Been busy! lol
Its never been an endorsable offence - only insurance has been
endorsable. Could they have got done for that or vehicle condition
    offences?

Nope - not since 1988 when the law changed. insurance companies cant
wriggle out of their third party obligations any more. The only time
they can refuse to pay up is when its been fraudulently obtained - and
even then its difficult for them to get out of it

It would be a reasonable assumption that a made up plate would never
    be on the database.
    OK, you got me.

    That's rubbish.
Not funny and probably entirely correct.

I mistyped my reg, and for a few moments wondered why the 10R was
    registered as a van.

I think it could be shown in law that ukrm is actually 98% peer-reviewed
bullshit, and therefore inadmissible. But for you, Usama bin Gixxer[1], the
    War on Tourism is over.

The system is actually better than we imagined and it classifies

I should have gone with them then... Sadly, I didn't, so it's 5-7 days
before I get the paperwork and they can't fax anything either.

I have nothing useful to add other than to curse you for placing
pictures of little fuzzy haired creatures tunnelling [1] into my head.

[1] Then falling off things, usually into pits of fire. I was always
rubbish at that game. Or deliberately killing them for fun.

  15. A Lemming formulated the question :
Some companies let you download the document to print out at home. Some
will email the document as an attachment. Others will fax it to you.
You will need to take all the docs in to a Post Office and do it
manually until the registration is transferred to you.

No idea, but we all rode scabby old pieces of shit back then...some
    things never change.

Only today I didn't ride my SV because the MOT ran out yesterday.
Booked in for it 12 noon Thursday.

Absolutely. I even put the road baffle back in the Scorpion can just to
be on the safe side. This bike is better than showroom-new, it'll pass
    easily.

  20. I got done in 197something for not displaying. I'd changed the front
forks on the fizzy and not transferred the disc over. Cost me 5 quid.
