getting caught on a moped

  1. It's nothing to do with boroughs as you well know.
    And speed limits never change along the same stretch of road? Ever
    ridden the North Circular between Brent Cross and Edmonton? the speed
    limit changes about 50 times and there are lots of nice cameras to
    remind you of that fact. Everyone seems to cope.
    This is London and you're dealing with TfL. Motorcycle traffic volumes
    are far higher as are volumes of cycle, taxi and bus traffic. You may
    not think there are no differences but there are. I think TfL's view
    about rider safety is rather "nannyish" but at least they did the decent
    thing in extending the trial rather than stopping it and declaring the
    initiative null and void based on too small a data sample.

    Which is also bollocks because there are all sorts of variations of lane
    closures that you can apply which will result in differing driver
    behaviour and resultant levels of congestion.

    I'm amazed you of all people have posted such seemingly ill considered
    nonsense.
